The Stem Ciders Cidery & Tap Room is located in back of the brick building at 2811 Walnut Street behind Mile High Winery (see photo below taken from Walnut Street). To find the Tap Room, enter the parking lot just north of the 28th and Walnut intersection and proceed to the back of the building. Just hard enough to find and worth the hunt!

Thursday Night Bluegrass.  Join us every Thursday night at the Stem Ciders Tap Room for live bluegrass and BBQ from Bubba Duke’s BBQ.

Eric Foster, Co-Founder

Hailing from Michigan, Eric’s love of cider began while working at the local cider mill in his hometown. There he learned about apple selection, pressing operations and the basic principles of cidermaking. Eric moved to Colorado in 2000 and has been working in marketing and business development, volunteering as a ski patroller and fly fishing every chance he gets. In addition to cidermaking, Eric has been an avid homebrewer for the last ten years. He is passionate about Stem Ciders as it combines his love of cider, interests in fermentation and his professional accomplishments.

Phil Kao, Co-Founder

Having grown up a few miles down the road from the oldest cider mill in Michigan, Phil moved to Denver in 2005 and received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado in 2011. When he isn’t skiing or road biking, he has worked in biological and mechanical testing laboratories where he is known for his attention to detail and his skills in devising and refining experimental methods. An avid home cook, he enjoys the fruits of a well-crafted dish. His engineering background brings process control and experimental design aspects to cidermaking and he enjoys applying his creative palate and his analyticity at Stem Ciders.
